Through Destination Wellness Midcoast Maine we can help you create your own specifically tailored wellness retreat.
During your stay in Camden, you may want to make sure you keep up your wellness routine by attending a Yoga or Zumba class. Or perhaps, you have not had the opportunity to try such a class at home and your stay in Camden seems like the perfect opportunity to do so. High Mountain Hall, just around the corner on Mountain Street, offers a large variety of classes at different times of the day. All Hawthorn Inn guests are entitled to one complimentary pass to attend one class at High Mountain Hall. We also provide guest passes to the local YMCA.
See the links to the right for a description of the types of classes offered and instructors. Click here for the most up to date schedule of classes. Always check the schedule before going to a class in the event there are cancellations. Be sure to ask Lisa or Ted for your pass during your stay at the inn. Drop-ins are welcome at High Mountain Hall for all classes. You can purchase additional class passes at High Mountain Hall or here at the Hawthorn Inn.

Fun for Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere
Anyone can create a Zentangle. Even if you have never drawn a line, you can pick up the pen and make a beautiful piece the very first time. People who are sure they are not “creative, artistic, or talented” are always delighted and surprised to see what they can create.
Anytime you have a few minutes you can create a small piece of art or enter a state of quiet and focus. The finished results are always pleasing.
Anywhere you can find a surface to work on a 3.5 in. paper tile, you can start, and likely finish, a Zentangle®.
Nancy Lubin is the first certified Zentangle teacher (CZT) in Maine. She is often available for a rainy day Zentangle lesson. Give her a call, 207-200-4069, to see if you can add this quiet adventure to your Maine visit. See more information on Intentional Essentials here.
