Norfolk – King Room w/Whirlpool tub
Spacious room on second floor of Carriage House. The 2 person whirlpool tub and gas-log fireplace (pilot turned off in summer months) makes this room a favorite of brides and grooms and anniversary/birthday celebrants.
The King bed, full-sized day bed with pullout trundle provide extra sleeping capacity. This makes the room suitable for families of up to five persons or several friends traveling together.
The Norfolk overlooks the rear of the property and its gardens and has views of Camden Harbor. When sitting on the private balcony, one can unwind listening to the sounds of the babbling brook that borders the inn's property. In addition to standard amenities listed at top of this page and in this description, there is a DVD player.
Watney – King w/ 2 person Whirlpool tub
A sensuous, serenely decorated retreat, favorite of brides and grooms/anniversary and birthday celebrants, on the first floor of the Carriage House. This is the Hawthorn Inn's most popular room. Features king-size bed, leather loveseat, a huge private deck, super-size whirlpool tub, two-person shower, gas-log fireplace (pilot turned off in summer months), and DVD player. Watney overlooks the rear property gardens and has views of Camden Harbor.
Brougham – King w/Whirlpool tub
Romantic, cozy and elegant room second floor carriage House room with king-size bed. Two-person whirlpool tub, separate shower, gas log fireplace (Pilot turned off in the summer months), DVD player, private deck. Brougham overlooks the rear property gardens and has views of Camden Harbor.
Please note the photos of the room are current as of June 2015. The four poster bed has been replaced with a king-size bed.
Cabriolet – 2 XL Twins or King w/Whirlpool tub
On the first floor of the Carriage House, the Cabriolet has a private patio, overlooks the rear property gardens and has the best view of Camden Harbor from the inn. Room also has a DVD player and two-person corner whirlpool tub.
Beds can be configured as 2 XL Twins or a King offering a range of versatility for accommodating our guests.
- When configured as a King, two people can share the same bed without sharing the same mattress. This reduces motion transfer, meaning less disruption from one person's restless sleep. (Hello restful night's sleep.) The mattresses are bound together so the mattresses do not separate if you both end up in the middle. This configuration makes the bed slightly wider than a regular king size mattress.
- Having 2 XL Twins allows friends or family members (even tall ones) to travel together and enjoy the bed and breakfast experience without breaking the bank or sharing a bed.
Caroline – Deluxe King
Caroline is located in the front of the Main House (facing Route 1) on the first floor. Rooms towards the street may be noisy for light sleepers. King bed. Bathroom is large, airy and full of natural light. Bedroom ceilings are high, windows tall and room full of light. Warm, elegant and comfortable. Small sitting area with chairs, table and DVD.
Regency – Deluxe Queen
Our most popular mid-priced room is spacious with a Queen four-poster bed. Features a very large bath with Victorian soaking tub. On the second floor of the Main House, the Regency overlooks the rear property gardens, and has views of Camden Harbor.
Jillian – Junior Suite
Views of Mount Battie from this second floor room of the Main House facing Route 1. Queen four-poster bed The Jillian is a favorite for its sitting room and spacious feel. Convertible loveseat in sitting room accommodates a third person. The sitting room door can be closed for privacy as well as to filter some noise from Route 1. Gas-log stove in sitting room for cozy evenings in the fall and winter seasons.
Rose – Standard Twin to Extra-wide double
"Everything is coming up roses" in this twin-bedded room that converts to an extra-large double bed. This is the smallest room in the house but cozy and comfortable. It may not be the best choice for travelers with a lot of luggage. On the second floor of the Main House, the Rose overlooks the rear property gardens, and has views of Camden Harbor.

Turret – Standard Queen
Queen bed. Victorian loveseat and chair for relaxing and reading, On the second floor of the Main House facing Route 1, it may be too noisy for light sleepers. The Turret is a favorite for its bow windows in the middle of the tower, and its light. Very small bathroom.
Please note the photos of the room are current as of June 2015. The wicker furniture has been replaced with a Victorian loveseat and chair.
Emma Knight – Family Friendly
Two connected rooms on the lower level of Main House. It is located below the kitchen and may be too noisy for light sleepers. Bedroom with queen size bed; Victorian soaking tub and alcove sink in the bedroom; separate sitting room with single daybed and pullout trundle accommodates up to four persons.
This room works well for families with small children or friends traveling together. It also has a harbor view. Provides a separate space for reading and watching TV.
