Camden is located midway between Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine. This makes the Hawthorn Inn the perfect place to unpack once and check off every item on your Coastal Maine bucket list. From our bed and breakfast, you can do day trips to southern Maine beaches, Portland, Freeport and Acadia National Park.

The Hawthorn Inn is located at the north end of the Camden downtown area. Once you park your car in our free onsite parking, you will not need it again to explore the downtown. It is a short 4-minute walk to the restaurants and shops. The expansive property provides plenty of space to spread out and unwind.
We know there are many lodging places to choose from in Camden and the surrounding area, and it can be difficult to choose the perfect one for you. Rest assured when you choose our bed and breakfast, your comfort is our priority. We will do everything we can to make sure that you enjoy your time at the Hawthorn Inn. - Knox County Regional Airport (25 minutes) Cape Air runs several flights daily from Logan Airport in Boston. Please be advised that these are only 9-seat planes.
- Bangor International Airport (1 hour 18 minutes)
- Portland International Jetport (1 hour 45 minutes) Many guests ask us if it is better drive up 95 to Augusta. Our experience is that takes a little longer. The only time that it might make sense is midday during the height of summer season. Route 17 is very dark at night.
- Boston Logan International Airport (3 hours 22 minutes)
Concord Coach Lines runs daily service from Boston Logan International Airport, Boston South Station and Portland, ME to 20 Commercial Street in Rockport. The bus stop is 1.2 miles from the inn; it is advisable to schedule a ride with Schooner Bay: 207-594-5000.
