Mount Battie Trail in Camden Hills State Park provides the most romantic view in all of Camden. One can see Camden Harbor and the entirety of Penobscot Bay from Acadia to Monhegan Island. Ascending the stone tower on Mount Battie’s 780′ summit provides a 360-degree panorama. This view inspired Edna St. Vincent Millay’s poem “Renascence”, today it has inspired many to pop the question.

  • Innkeeper Tip: Our go-to spot for a quiet romantic dinner is a short 7 minute drive on Route 52 to Youngtown Inn in Lincolnville, Maine. We recommended this restaurant to one of our guests who has been coming to Camden for years and said they thought it was probably the best kept secret. The chef/owner draws upon his French heritage and European training to create a seasonally-changing dinner menu supplemented with daily special offerings. The menu takes advantage of the freshest available ingredients. The service is always attentive and there is a full bar and extensive wine list as well.
